These two
sisters of
Lebanese Polish
origin respect
luxury, chic and
beauty. And
their handbags
of A Thousand
and One Nights
have only one
aim: to exalt
their clients’
feminity. Called
Maia N their
brand was
created in
2002.A graduate
of Central Saint
Martins College
of Art and
Design in
London, Maya is
in charge of the
creation of the
collections. Her
style is set
along refined
lines with a
futuristic
design blending
the mysticism of
the Orient and
the colors of
the West.
However, without
ever losing
sight of the
classicism good
taste, she
explains:” When
I make a
handbag, I make
sure that I
shall be able to
use it. I love
luxury on
condition that
it is trendy.”
With a degree in
gemology ,Joanna
supervise how to
adorn setting
each creation
according to the
wishes of the
clientele, by
incrusting
precious-stone
or crystals to
give the touch
of splendor and
sensuality,
features of
sublime
creations.
Impressed by
Maia’s work, the
jeweler
Swarovski has
appointed her as
her ambassadress
for the whole
Middle East. One
true

confidential, it
is a fact that
the list of Maia
‘s clients seems
to come right
out from Who’s
who. It s all a
matter of the
right image. And

quality is worth

sisters don’t
have yet their
own premises,
nevertheless the
bags and
accessories are
available at the
largest venue in
Japan, Taiwan,
Dubai, and New
york. In Paris
these creations
are sold at
Kate, the
printemps
department
store, Paul and
Joe, and Baby
Buddha.
During the Film
Festival in
Cannes, the
presenter
Virginie Efira
went up the
steps of the
palace carrying
on her arm one
of the
prestigious
handbags created
by these two
sisters.
